Clocked is a daily general knowledge quiz. Everyone gets the same 20 questions each day, and you have five minutes to answer as many as you can.
Answering
- Press Start the clock and all 20 questions appear at once.
- Type answers into the single answer box, in any order. You never have to pick a question first.
- When an answer is right, it fills in next to its question and the box clears, ready for the next one. You don't need to press Enter.
- Some questions show part of the answer for you, like "Strait of ___". Just type the missing part.
What counts as correct
- Capital letters, accents and punctuation don't matter.
- "The" at the start is optional, so "Beatles" and "The Beatles" both count.
- Numbers can be typed as digits or words, so "7" and "seven" both work.
- Small typos are forgiven. Pause for a moment and a close spelling will fill in.
- Common alternate names count too, such as "Mt Everest" for Mount Everest.
"Name one of…" questions
Some questions have several right answers, like "Name one of the five Great Lakes." Any one of them gets you the point. When the quiz ends, you'll see every accepted answer.
Finishing
- The quiz ends when you answer all 20, when time runs out, or when you choose Give up.
- Any questions you missed are revealed with their answers.
- Press Share result to copy your score and a grid of green and black squares, without spoilers, to send to friends.
One quiz a day
You get one try at each day's quiz. A new quiz appears every night at midnight Eastern Time, and it's the same for everyone, wherever you are.
Tips
- Questions are roughly ordered from easier to harder. Grab the quick ones first.
- Skip anything that stumps you and come back if there's time.
- If an answer you're sure about won't fill in, try a shorter or more common version of it.
